What is Kumejima Ocean Jet (KOJ)?
Kumejima Ocean Jet (KOJ) is a high-speed jetfoil service connecting Naha and Kumejima Island in Okinawa, Japan. The vessel “Tsumugi” launched on May 1, 2026, and covers the 92-minute route on hydrofoil technology, gliding above the water surface for a smooth, stable ride.
Before KOJ launched, travelers had to choose between a flight (~30 min, expensive) or a slow ferry (~3 hours). Now KOJ offers an 92-minute sea voyage at a reasonable price.

Naha Port (Naha Wharf), 2-1 Todokicho, Naha, Okinawa 900-0035. About 15 min walk from Yui Rail Asahibashi Station. Do NOT go to Tomarin (Tomari Port) — it’s a different terminal and KOJ does not depart from there.
