The Kumejima Ocean Jet (KOJ), launching on May 1, 2026, connects Naha Port (Naha Wharf, Tondocho 2-1) to Kaneshiro Port on Kumejima Island in approximately 82 minutes. This guide walks you through the boarding process, terminal access, check-in, and baggage rules.
Terminal: Naha Port (Naha Wharf, Tondocho 2-1)
KOJ boards at the Naha Wharf Passenger Terminal at Tondocho 2-1, Naha City. From Naha Airport, take the Yui Rail (Okinawa Urban Monorail) to Asahibashi Station (about 13 minutes), then walk about 10 minutes to the terminal.
Important: Tomari Port (Tomarin) is a separate port. KOJ does NOT depart from Tomari. Tomari Port is the Naha-side terminal for Kerama Islands ferries and Kume Shosen ferries — do not confuse these two ports.
