Zamami Port serves as the primary arrival point for visitors to Zamami Island and the surrounding Kerama Islands. Two vessel types connect Zamami to Naha: the ferry “Ferry Zamami” (approximately 90 minutes, ¥2,150 one-way) and the high-speed boat “Queen Zamami” (60 minutes, ¥3,200 one-way). Both depart from Naha’s Tomari Terminal.
The port terminal building includes a tourist information center where visitors can obtain maps, book diving tours, and arrange accommodation. Bicycle and scooter rentals are available right outside the terminal. Furuzamami Beach, consistently rated as one of Japan’s best beaches, is a 15-minute walk from the port. The island is also famous for whale watching during winter months (January–March), with tour boats departing from this port.
