Getting to Tomari Wharf

Tomari Wharf is in central Naha at Tondocho 2-1. By Yui Rail: exit at Miebashi Station (10-minute walk). By taxi from Naha Airport: approximately 10 minutes (¥1,500). By bus: routes 99 and 120 stop nearby. See our Tomarin Terminal Guide for detailed directions and parking.
Check-In & Boarding

Arrive at least 30 minutes before departure (45 minutes during peak season). Purchase or collect your ticket at the KOJ counter on the 1st floor. Boarding typically begins 15–20 minutes before departure. Follow staff directions to the boarding gate and take your assigned seat. Large luggage goes to the designated storage area.
Boarding the Kumejima Ocean Jet begins at the Tomari Port (Naha Tomari Terminal), located in central Naha. The terminal is approximately 15 minutes by taxi from Naha Airport, or accessible via the Yui Rail monorail to Miebashi Station followed by a 15-minute walk. Several city bus routes also stop near the terminal.
Passengers should arrive at the terminal at least 30 minutes before departure to complete the check-in process. The terminal building houses a ticket counter, waiting area, restrooms, and vending machines. A small convenience store is available nearby for last-minute purchases of snacks and drinks for the journey. Boarding announcements are made in Japanese, and staff can assist English-speaking passengers with the boarding procedure.
For passengers arriving from overseas, the most convenient route is Naha Airport → taxi to Tomari Terminal (15 minutes). International flight arrivals should allow at least 2 hours between landing and ferry departure to clear immigration and travel to the port.
