Kerama Islands: National Park (designated 2014) located 40km west of Naha. Three main islands: Tokashiki (high-speed boat 40 min / ferry 82 min from Naha), Zamami (high-speed boat 50-82 min / ferry 120 min), Aka Island (stop on Zamami route). Known for Kerama Blue transparency (30m+ visibility), 250+ coral species, high sea turtle encounter rate. Whale watching January-March (humpback whales, 90%+ encounter rate). All routes depart from Naha Tomari Wharf.
The Kerama Islands, designated as a National Park in 2014, are famous for “Kerama Blue” — some of the clearest waters in the world. Located just 40-82 minutes by high-speed boat from Naha, these islands offer world-class diving, snorkeling, and pristine beaches accessible as a day trip.
Three Islands Compared

| Island | Travel Time | One-way Fare | Best For |

Important: Ferry vs High-Speed Boat Boarding Points

Ferries depart from Tomari South Pier (in front of Tomarin building). High-speed boats depart from Tomari North Pier (~10 min walk from Tomarin). This is the most common mistake visitors make.
